Bread Together is a grassroots co-operative developed out of ten years of bread making at the Wesley in Chester city centre.
We provide an open, inclusive, empowering and fun space for individuals of any age to meet and make Bread Together.
Our Bread Together space is a space out of the everyday. A space to develop skills, have fun, enable participation, work equally and share ideas. In January 2020 we set up a micro bakery. It’s a professional kitchen where we can bake delicious bread to sell to the people of Chester and beyond. Running alongside our community baking sessions, the micro bakery is a fantastic learning space. We make top quality bread, with the aim of selling to markets and businesses.
We also host bespoke bread making workshops in venues throughout Chester.
Since March 2020 we’ve had to stop all our community activities due to COVID-19. We are now in the first planning stages of how to operate our micro bakery again. Laura, our Project Manager, is working on this. We hope to be baking again by Spring/Summer 2021.
