Thank you to everyone for helping with ideas, thank you to Jack for saying that creating a website was possible and for beginning the process of website creation.
In the process of becoming Bread Together, we’ve had advice from Co-ops UK and from the Daily Bread Co-operative in Cambridge, plus start up funding from the Lord Leverhulme Trust, and the Waitrose Community Matters Fund. C&C Catering Engineers have donated a mixer.
Each week our local Tesco in Frodsham Street gives us a block of fresh yeast, and we’ve flourished thanks to the welcome and space which the Wesley continues to give us. Years ago (maybe nine) our oven was funded by the Anne Duchess of Westminster Charity, and our initial development work six years ago was funded by a grant from the Westminster Foundation. The Wesley Church Centre also supported us financially until the growth of our regular bread making sessions meant that they are now self-funding.
In developing our micro bakery and bread to sell, we’ve received funding for essential equipment from sources including Cheshire Community Foundation, The Earl of Chester Fund, The Ursula Keyes Trust, Festival Church and the Members’ Budget Award Scheme at CWAC. Funding for our project manager post was awarded by Cheshire West and Chester Council. We are also delighted to be working closely with Vivo Care Choices.
